Help & FAQ
Common questions about using Picked Together.
How do I create a book club?
From your dashboard, click "New Club" to create a club. Give it a name, set your reading preferences (vibe, genres to avoid, preferred book length), and share the invite code with your friends.
How do I join an existing club?
Ask the club owner for the invite code, then enter it in the "Join a Club" section on your dashboard. You can also use a direct invite link if the owner shares one.
How does voting work?
Any club member can nominate books from the recommended list. Once books are nominated, every member can vote for the ones they want to read. The club owner can then pick a winner based on votes.
Can I change my vote?
Yes. Click the "Voted" button on any book you've already voted for to withdraw your vote. You can then vote for a different book.
How do I remove a nomination?
Only the club owner can remove nominations. On the club page, the owner will see a "Remove" button next to each nominated book (except the current read).
How do I leave a club?
On the club page, click "Leave Club". You'll need a new invite code to rejoin. Club owners cannot leave — they must delete the club instead.
How do I delete a club?
Only the club owner can delete a club. On the club page, click "Delete Club". This permanently removes the club, all memberships, nominations, and votes.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your dashboard and scroll to the Account section at the bottom. Click "Delete Account". This will cancel your subscription, remove you from all clubs, and permanently delete your data.
What happens to my subscription if I delete my account?
Your Polar subscription is automatically cancelled when you delete your account. You will not be charged again.
How do recommendations work?
When you set up a club, you choose a reading vibe (literary, fun, or a mix), genres to avoid, and a preferred book length. Our algorithm uses these preferences to suggest books your whole group will enjoy.
